17 AUG 2016     Day 2: Hanoi City Tour (B/L/-)
We discover Hanoi-the charming capital of Vietnam today:
Hochiminh's mausoleum complex (closed on Monday, Friday, every afternoon & in October, November) and his residence, Presidential Palace, One pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda, French colonial quarter, Temple of Literature, Hanoi Opera. You can select one of the museums below for your preferences (Fine Arts Museum, Museum of History, Museum of Army, Museum of Women, Museum of Ethnology).
Then explore Hoan Kiem lake and a short walk in the Hanoi Old quarter to observe the daily life of local people.
Attend a performance of water puppet show. Accommodation in Hanoi.
 
18 AUG 2016     Day 3: Hanoi – Van Long – Ninh Binh (B/L/-)
Depart for Hoa Lu, 100 km south of Hanoi.
Upon arrival in Hoa Lu, visit Dinh and Le temples. The landscapes here are beautiful with limestone rocks, rice fields as in Halong Bay. Proceed to Van Long. Lunch at local restaurant.
Afterward, enjoy the spectacular scenery during a boat cruise in Van Long natural reserve. Cycling around the villages.
Transfer to the hotel for check-in. Overnight in Ninh Binh.
 
19 AUG 2016     Day 4: Ninh Binh – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
8:00am depart for Halong bay, 180km east of Hanoi, listed as World Heritage Area for its Outstanding beauty by UNESCO in 1994.
12:00 we board a traditional junk style to discover the 8th World Wonder where the movie "Indochine" was realized with Catherine Deneuve, French star in the 1990's. Lunch on boat with fresh seafood. It is time to relax on the deck through the most beautiful landscapes with more than 3,000 islands and limestone islets rising from the emerald water. Visit a natural cave, the most picturesque grotto in the bay. Swimming if possible and relaxing on the deck. Dinner & Overnight aboard.
 
20 AUG 2016     Day 5: Halong Bay – Hue (B/-/-)
Early morning wake up for sunrise on the beautiful bay,
Taichi exercise with the master.
Breakfast on board.
Contemplate last wonderful landscapes throughout Halong Bay.
10:00 Brunch while the boat approaches Tuan Chau harbor.
11:00 Disembark at Tuan Chau wharf.
11:10 Drive to Hanoi Airport for flight to Hue. Visit a workshop of potteries en route and a typical village of the Red River delta.
Take the flight to Hue VN1547 @ 20:10 – 21:20
Meet our guide at Hue Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in. Leisure time. Accommodation in Hue.
 
21 AUG 2016     Day 6: Hue Discovery (B/L/-)
Full day to explore Hue, the former Royal city of the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties: visit the Imperial Citadel and Forbidden city, Tu Duc king' mausoleum and a local market Dong Ba. Enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River to discover Thien Mu pagoda, the wonderful architectural structures for religious worship in Hue.
Lunch at local restaurant. We continue our journey to the village producing conical hats to watch the artisan’s daily works. Overnight in Hue.
 
22 AUG 2016     Day 7: Hue – Cycling – Yoga (B/L/-)
Breakfast at hotel
08:30AM we ride a bike from the hotel for a special zen and meditation day to immerge and indulge into local atmosphere.
You will find “Bliss in mind and body”, learn how to meditate and practice yoga:
Greetings and Qigong performance
- Introductions of architecture and the spiritual meaning
- Instruction of 4 movements of qigong
- Enjoy brown-rice tea, dried ginger jam after qigong lesson
- Watch instruction of meditation and experience meditation
- Discuss culture, meditation etc. with the owner
- Spiritual retreat before lunch, enjoy luch
- Wash hands with herb cream and do walking meditation
14: 00 farewell to the zen house.
Continue our cycling in the rural area of Hue.
Back to the hotel for refreshment. Overnight in Hue.
 
23 AUG 2016     Day 8: Hue – Hoian (B/L/-)
Depart for Danang. The scenic 3 hours and half drive via Hai Van (Cloud) pass offers spectacular views of mountains, the sea, idyllic beaches and villages. Visit Cham museum on the way. We continue further south to the charming historic city of Hoian. Upon arrival, check-in at hotel. Leisure time. Overnight in Hoian.
 
24 AUG 2016     Day 9: Hoian – Cooking Class (B/L/-)
Breakfast at hotel,
08h00 We leave the hotel toward Hoian ancient town.
You enjoy a cooking class from the buying local ingredients at Hoian market to tasting Vietnamese cuisine prepared by yourselves.
We start the day (08.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 3863210) – our meeting point.
Visit Hoi An colorful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.
On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.
Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20 metre swimming pool - towels and showers provided.
Discover Hoian ancient town, known to early Western merchants, the city was one of the major trading centers of South East Asia in the 16th century. Hoian has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. Visit historic merchants and community houses, places of worship and Japanese covered bridge, Hoian market. 
Back to the hotel for refreshment. Overnight in Hoian.

28 AUG 2016     Day 13: Saigon – Cuchi tunnels (B/L/-)
Drive to Cu Chi tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to Cambodian border and was three levels deep. There are more than 200km of underground tunnels, consisting of a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. The remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the war must have been like.
Back to Saigon for lunch at local restaurant.
PM: Discover Hochiminh city (formerly Saigon), the biggest economic center in the country: visit Opera house, Notre Dame cathedral, Post Office, China town, War Remnants Museum, a lacquer workshop. Overnight in Saigon /Hochiminh city.
 
29 AUG 2016     Day 14: Saigon – Cai Be – Can Tho (B/L/-)
Drive to Cai Be to explore the Mekong delta. Cai Be is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat trip on the Mekong river to floating markets, tropical orchards and familial industries. Lunch at local restaurant.
Disembark in Vinh Long where our driver waits for you. Proceed to Can Tho. Accommodation in Cantho.
 
30 AUG 2016     Day 15: Can Tho – Cai Rang floating market - Chau Doc (B/L/-)
Experience an excursion to visit Cai Rang floating market and walk throughout the green orchard to taste some tropical fruits. Afterwards, we discover Binh Thuy ancient house in Cantho city.
Lunch at local restaurant on the way.
We leave Can Tho for Chau Doc. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Leisure time. Overnight in Chau Doc.
 
31 AUG 2016     Day 16: Chau Doc – Phnom Penh (B/L/-)
Breakfast at the hotel.
07:00AM goodbye to Vietnam and you take the speed boat to Phnom Penh going up one of the channels connecting the Bassac to the Lower Mekong. Stop on the bank to pass the frontier between Vietnam and Cambodia. The navigation will continue through the beautiful river landscape with crops and villages are crowded on the banks and their diversity make clear the transition between two countries, two cultures, two ways of life. Arrival at Phnom Penh after about 5 hours of browsing and lunch at local restaurant.
In the afternoon visit the National Museum, a precious casket containing the masterpieces of Khmer sculpture from the fifth to the thirteenth century, and the area of the Royal Palace with the Throne Room, where still today the Sovereign grants its hearings, and the adjacent complex the Silver Pagoda. Overnight at Intercontinental Hotel Phnom Penh.
 
01 SEPT 2016    Day 17: Phnom Penh – Siem Reap by car (B/L/D show)
Breakfast at hotel.
In the morning we leave behind Phnom Penh capital and depart by car to Siem Reap in the north, on the "Royal Route" to the central regions of Cambodia.  Arrival and lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: Visit Banteay Srey and Banteay Samre temples.
Dinner show with Apsara dance at Por Cuisine Restaurant in Siem Reap. Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
02 SEPT 2016    Day 18: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat Temples (B/L/-)
Visit Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat tempples. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon visit Angkor Thom: Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of Leper King. No dinner. Overnight in Siem Reap.
 
03 SEPT 2016    Day 19: Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake – Departure  (B/L/-)
Breakfast at hotel.
Morning: excursion by boat to visit a fishing village on the Tonle Sap, where you can watch the fishing methods and the daily life of Khmer people who live on the lake shore.  A nomadic community that moves across the lake to follow the seasons of fishing. Here are their homes, schools, church, shops and fish farms, all built on barges and floating platforms that rise and fall following the regular rhythm of the floods of the lake.
Back to Siem Reap and visit Angkor Artisan workshop. Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon: Free time until transfer to Siem Reap Airport for flight to Bangkok. Tour ends.
