The Meo Vac district is truly a remote place on the tourist map in Vietnam. Few tourists have courage and love to make the long way to react to this mountainous area, so called Stone Plateau of Vietnam and the World.
But for those who love nature, adventure, the absolute silence of nature, the colors of multi-etine montagnard still retain the custom for centuries, this itinerary is to be done!

To reach Meo Vac from Cao bang, you follow a road 217, difficult to say beautiful and bad road in the mountains, is updated every month, we can say feasible and reachable.

It takes us more than half a day to get to Meo Vac, you can have a lunch along the way by chance and better prepare a sack lunch and stop along the way in a place without human presence, half the fog and Karst's scraps for enjoy lunch. But you can make a stop at Bao Lac before climbing the highest and most threatening pass over the steep mountain of limestone plateau. During the 60s to build this road, where to carve to dig every pile of stone and that dangerous to die a lot of people fall and sick.

Meo Vac has no architectural monuments that mountains, poor villages. Here there are 17 ethnic minorities, most of them have a low standard of living. A trek among the tribes at Meo vac Lo Lo is to be done. A very important event and the Khau love market go on March 27th lunar each year. A single market in the world, they say, is the place to meet with separated lovers, that is, they can not become a wife and a husband.

The road to Dong van passes a most wonderful point, the Ma Pi leng pass at 2000 meters height where the most threatening nature.
A village to see in Meo Vac is Sang Pa A where the Lo Lo tribe lives, a rare ethnic group of Vietnam. The village has 68 houses and around 300 inhabitants preserve the local culture of this people well.
